MADISON, Miss. (Aug. 10, 2021) Vertex donates surplus vehicles to Mercy House Auto Center in support of the Mercy House Adult & Teen Challenge, a 14-month addiction rehabilitation program.

Supporting initiatives that make a meaningful impact to our local communities is important to Vertex, and Mercy House Auto Center is making a significant impact to communities throughout Mississippi.  Located in Crystal Springs, Mercy House Auto is a 501(c)3 registered charity and the founder of the Mercy House Adult & Teen Challenge, a 14-month residential alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation program for adult and teenage men.  Supported by vehicle and monetary donations from the community, the program teaches life skills while finding solutions to overcome addictive behavior.

“I was very impressed with the services provided by this program to the men that truly need help,” said Kelly Miller, senior vice-president of Vertex Supply Chain.  “Vertex is proud to know this donation of trucks will help someone who is working to get back on their feet, supporting their families and their community.”

“Our mission at Mercy House is to see broken families restored one man at a time”, said Matt Milliman, CEO and executive director of Mercy House. “We can’t underestimate the power that one man has to change.  Not only his life, but also the life of his family and the community around him.”

Vertex designates August as their “Giving Back to our Community” month.  Donating nine trucks to the Mercy House Adult & Teen Challenge is an example of working side by side with community organizations, providing critically important services and opportunities to those most in need. United together, our efforts help individuals and families succeed today, as well as position our future generations for success.
